Do you find yourself struggling to keep up with your digital marketing? Do you know that you can generate additional income for your business online but don’t know where to start? Managing your social media can be such a daunting task when you do not have a plan of action. Here are a few tips from The Gurus on how to manage your social media activity and get the most out of your time invested so you can focus on your day to day.
We have broken it down into 5 Parts: ⠀
Content Creation: The first step is to create solid, valuable, beautiful content that will make your audience want to engage with you. Use your brand voice and your brand identity when speaking to your audience, and always be consistent with branding. ⠀
When creating content we always recommend spending a day out of your month to create content for that whole month. Doing this will help you minimize your time invested and help you stay organized so you don’t have to worry about posting in the middle of your work day.
You also want to utilize the apps and tools that are available to you that can help you with your content creation. We highly recommend apps such as Canva, Ripl, VSCO, Adobe Spark and much more.
Scheduling: One thing that can truly help you maximize your results and minimize your time invested is to schedule your content. We cannot stress enough how important it is to use a scheduling app. This will help you stay on track with your daily tasks. It is so important that you minimize the amount of time you spend on your digital marketing and implement as much automation as possible. Some of our favorite scheduling apps are Tailwind, Planoly, and Hootsuite. You just have to look at what works best for your business and be sure to use the tools that are available to you.
Publishing/Posting: Before hitting the “post” button, make sure your post is a) grammatically correct, b) relevant to your brand and your brand image and c) unique and original. We recommend posting daily if you can, simply because the more output you have the better you conversions will be. It takes on average 8-10 exposures before an audience member becomes a loyal customer.
Analyze: Analyze the data that you have access to across all platforms. You can tailor your efforts to what the numbers tell you. If your analytics say that you get the most engagement between 12:30pm and 2:30m, be sure to post before that time to maximize your efforts. You could see a difference of over 60% (or more) reach if you are posting at the correct times. ⠀
Engage: Lastly, the golden ticket to social media is ENGAGEMENT. We always say, “social media is the name, engagement is the game!” Social media is all about building communities and connections that you would otherwise not have an opportunity to, and you want to be sure that you are spending at least 15 minutes a day on your profiles engaging with your audience. Relationships go both ways, even when it comes to social media. This means liking, following, commenting, and sharing. The more you do this the higher your engagement, reach, and impressions will be.
